Gilliam Road Advisors
Where strategy meets the work.
Most advisors will give you a recommendation. Gilliam Road gives you someone who has owned the outcomes, managed the teams, and absorbed the consequences of decisions exactly like the one you're facing.

01. The challenge
A Common Challenge in Advisory Work
Many advisory engagements follow a familiar pattern. The analysis is sharp. The frameworks are credible. The recommendations are well-reasoned. And then the engagement ends, often before the hard work of implementation begins. The deliverable gets handed back to the internal team, and the accountability for outcomes goes with it.
The gap in most advisory work is not the thinking. It is the execution. Frameworks get produced; implementation gets handed back to the client. The advisor moves on to the next engagement.
Gilliam Road Advisors is built on a different premise.
02. Our people
The Embedded Operator
Advisors who have actually done it.
Every Gilliam Road engagement is led by someone with genuine operating experience at scale. Not consultants who have studied what good execution looks like. Operators who have built it, broken it, fixed it, and lived with the results.
Our founder brings 20+ years of senior operating experience across technology, SaaS, and professional services to every Gilliam Road engagement. The standard that he set for himself is the same standard to which we hold every Gilliam Road resource.
This is not a firm where a senior person sells the engagement and a junior team delivers it. Gilliam Road resources are senior practitioners with real track records. And our founder remains actively involved in every engagement, regardless of who is leading the day-to-day work.
Profile of Gilliam Road advisors
- 15+ years of operating experience (most with 20+ years)
- Strong business acumen with functional experience in strategy, operations, finance, go-to-market, and/or technology
- Work experience from blue chip corporations across multiple sectors and PE/VC-backed companies
- Undergraduate and graduate degrees from top-tier institutions
03. What we do
Four ways that Gilliam Road engages.
Fractional Executive Leadership
Companies that are outgrowing their operating model faster than they can hire into it.
Transformation and Strategic Execution
Focused engagements on specific, high-stakes strategic or operational challenges. Not just the assessment. The implementation.
M&A Integration
Integration leadership from diligence through Day 100 and beyond. For acquisitions where the deal thesis is at risk in the execution.
Board and Advisory
For companies that want someone who has operated at scale, not just observed it.
04. The standard
The Standard to Which We Hold Ourselves
Our people come from the same places the hardest problems do.
Gilliam Road is built on operating experience, not academic frameworks.
As one benchmark: our founder's own career includes:
- $7B+ revenue scope at Indeed, leading a ~150-person cross-functional strategy and operations team within the Product organization
- A nine-figure AI acquisition integrated at Relativity as Global Head of M&A Integration and Transformation
- Five operating roles across six and a half years at Aon, a $15B global risk and human capital firm
- McKinsey alum, Stanford MBA and M.A. in Education, Princeton A.B. in Computer Science, University of Virginia M.S. in Management of Information Technology
That is the bar that we set for ourselves and for every resource that we bring to a client engagement.
The problems worth calling Gilliam Road about are the ones that have been partially attempted, politically complicated, or structurally difficult. The ones where what is missing is not intelligence but accountability and execution capacity.
"The hard problems don't need more strategy. They need someone willing to do the work."
05. How we work
Engagements begin with a conversation, not a proposal.
Gilliam Road does not take every engagement that comes in. Before any work begins, our founder conducts a direct scoping conversation to assess fit from both directions: what the client needs, and whether Gilliam Road is positioned to deliver it.
If the fit is right, the engagement is scoped with defined deliverables, a clear timeline, and a transparent picture of who will be leading the work and why.
Rates are not published. Engagements are priced based on scope, complexity, and duration, and discussed directly. The website invites the conversation. It does not quote the menu.
Ready to talk about the work?
If you have a problem that needs an operator's judgment, not another consultant's recommendation, we want to hear about it.
